If I really do it to the very end, Adam Online will be a free (ad / donation supported) web based sandbox sci-fi mmorpg. It will be inspired by games like EVE Online or Star Wars Galaxies.
The plan is to give a player the maximum freedom. You will have the opportunity to buy or later construct a spaceship, equip it with tools needed to whatever you want to do and go into the space. The space will be a whole galaxy with hundreds of solar systems and thousands of planets. You can explore new worlds and colonize it, mine minerals, trade, fight for planets or just a space stations. But in the beginning, you have just your bare ass and some money for the beginning and you have to make your way through. The planets will be colonizable depending on the surface, temperature and atmosphere - but as the research goes further, you can do things that seemed to be undoable.
The game will be real-time meaning when you go offline you should be on the safe place - it's sad to be killed while sleeping in the real world. Adam Online will be a realistic game - and what is less realistic than immortality? You have to be careful, because when you die - it's just irreversible.
The game is now in an "I have the idea and logo" state. I'm experimenting with the data representation and someone who can do some graphics is welcomed. Especially of ships and parts I have no idea how to draw it. It'll be probably just a LAMP & AJAX game, so just 2D graphics is needed.
Actually there are 0 solar systems, stars and 0 other space objects int the database
